We headed to the Wasilla Independence Day parade today and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing in true holiday fashion. The parade is always an uplifting event for us. This year the Alaska National Guard participated and everyone stood and clapped in their support. It brings tears to the eyes of military spouses to be surrounded by this kind of support system and to live in a town where home town heros are celebrated. Most attendees are dressed in red, white, and blue. The boys love the candy from the parade. I think Grayson consumed about 4 Dum Dums during the hour long parade. The parade included entries from a beauty salon, chiropractic clinic, Model T's, old tractors, and everything in between.
