June

The eagle eggs hatched, and produced two fluffy white chicks. One can be seen here peering out of the nest.

Landon's girlfriend, Shannon, spent some time over at the house for lunch between a couple of hikes to the creek.

Matanuska Glacier, as viewed from the Long Rifle Lodge.

Dragonflies hang out on the wall outside Grayson's room.

Young moose strolling through the backyard.

Our local eagles sometimes drop in to pull up grass to take back to the nest.

Our grass is rooted deep, and they have to work hard to get a claw-full pulled up.

Landon's apple tree bloomed for the first time this year.  It is ~10 years old, but is usually damaged heavily by browsing moose each winter.

More pictures of the lake forming out in the hay flats.  Some grass is starting to grow in this picture, and will eventually cover over the new body of water.

Another picture from Long Rifle Lodge, with the Matanuska Glacier in the background.  A restaurant with a great view.

Landon's software programming course he took at Prince William Sound College in Valdez.
