Gold Cord Trail

What a great day to get outside with our good friends! It is so nice to have someone who is an old pro at a hike to take you on it the first time. This is another trail at Independence Mine at Hatcher's Pass. Except for the haze from a very distant forest fire the view was gorgeous. Gold Cord Lake is also another boys paradise...another lake surrounded by rocks and uniquely colored water. Note the mosquitoe flying at Grayson's face in the last picture. This hike was relatively bug free compared to yesterday's swatfest at ERNC. Be sure to play ""Where's Waldo?" in some of the photos! Caleb and Landon made it down the path a lot faster than the mommies and babies! I also had to include a picture of the shoes that we lost on the way up...someone had set it aside for us on the way back down. There is a geocache by the lake too!
