We enjoyed the lodge so much that we didn't get out to historic Hope until today. The boys took turns attempting to catch pink salmon. Hunter succeeded in landing two. Landon was very disappointed that we were practicing "catch and release" today. Pink or humpy salmon are not as good to eat as reds, silvers, and kings so the salmon lived to spawn another day. The downtown area is really cool with all sorts of little historic buildings. It's a nice place to visit and relax. We will probably head back sometime after the smoke lifts.
