We have been curious about the name of this road, ever since we saw it the first time. Can you believe that many letters will fit on a road sign? Sure enough, if you follow Knik Knack Mud Shack Rd to the end you will find the Knik Knack Mud Shack. It is a nice size store of pottery, either finished or paintable, and Alaskan sourvenirs like fox pelts and rail road spikes. The shack is owned by an original homesteader Bud L. He has a collection of old vehicles on his property including an old Studebaker and the original Wasilla ambulance (think Ghostbuster's mobile). It is definitely an interesting place and worth checking out!
